Let’s Expand Communication Ltd was founded by Ruth Crampton, a Specialist Paediatric Speech
&
Language Therapist with over 17 years clinical experience. Ruth specialises in the
assessment, and treatment of both pre-school and school aged children with a wide range of
speech, language and communication difficulties. Ruth is the current chair of ASLTIP UK -
The Association of Speech and Language Therapists in Independent Practice.
Ruth graduated from the University of Ulster (UUJ) in 2005 and became a Member of the Royal
College of Speech & Language Therapists and HCPC. She began her career practising within the
HSENE (Ireland) and quickly moved in the NHS. Ruth began her private practice in 2016, while
lecturing part time on the undergraduate SLT course in UUJ. She has provided Speech and
Language Therapy for children across a variety of settings including community clinics,
schools and nurseries, as well as managing complex caseloads as part of a multi-disciplinary
team.
In addition, she is also experienced in providing Specialist Speech and Language Therapy
training to organisations, educators and other healthcare professionals.
Ruth is a very passionate therapist who approaches her work with extensive knowledge and
sensitivity. She offers a professional yet personable service for all children and their
families.
